At Yangebup Primary, students from Year 1 - 6 learn Japanese. This includes not only communicating and understanding the language, but also gaining an understanding of the Japanese culture. Our lessons involve interactive activities such as calligraphy, origami, games and songs as well as improving students’ memory skills and the ability to listen and respond.

Japan is a major trading partner with Australia and we believe that being proficient in this language is advantageous to future employment. 

In 2022, we will have a dedicated Japanese language room with new furniture to reflect Japanese culture.
